Health Crisis Awaits Blue Nile Refugees

The attacks by the Sudanese government on people living in Blue Nile state has displaced thousands. Neighbor South Sudan has turned out the be the place to see refuge, but the camps across the border are a waiting health crisis.

Meeting the needs of refugees is always a challenge and one that can see disease outbreaks come out of poor conditions, overcrowding and a lack of supplies. In this case, the people in Jamam camp are in greater danger since it is set up in South Sudan's flood plain.

A report by Jonathan Miller for Channel 4 discusses the mounting problems in the camp and how the UN is responding to prevent further problems.
