Washington D.C. Union Station and Capital Building
I figured that there couldn't be any better images of what I will be leaving behind. It is rather apt to be leaving from DC, and I am glad that I got to see the picture above. It is not a real full feeling of patriotism or anything like that, but a knowing that this is home.
Thanks for all who have supported me up to this point. I could not have done it without all of your help. As this appears, I will be en route (I HOPE) to England than onwards to Nairobi. If you want, you can track me a little bit based on my flight information below. I will do my best to make an entry before I leave Nairobi on Thursday, but you never know what might happen.
Depart - Washington Dulles Intl - 6:50 PM Jan 10
Arrive - London Heathrow - 1:45 am Jan 11
Depart - London Heathrow - 5:05 am Jan 11
Arrive - Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport - 1:35 pm Jan 11
I have changed all the times to be based on Eastern Standard Time, so you can have a sense of where I am during the day. When we arrive in Nairobi it will be nearly ten at night due to the eight hour difference. I am sure that once I am guided towards the nearest soft place to lay horizontally, hopefully a bed, I will sleep the moment my feet are up.
Thanks again for taking the time to read my blog. Be sure to email or make comments if you have any questions. I will do my best to accommodate any of your requests or inquiries.
